"Shantae" is the titular character and main protagonist of the video game series Shantae. A half-genie who serves as the guardian of Scuttle Town, Shantae possesses a strong sense of justice, but is also somewhat naïve to many of the outside world and is caring to her adoptive uncle and friends. Living at the village's lighthouse on her own, she is always thwarting the plans of pirates, earning the enmity of Risky Boots in the process. She first appears in Scientifically Determining the 5th Smash DLC Fighter.
