An Event is a recorded phenomena that showcases on the events that surrounds the Tributes in a Hunger Games Simulator Season.
Description[]
Events are fundamental parts of a Hunger Games Simulator Season, which chronicles and details of the actions that the Tributes make within a Hunger Games Season. Whether a Tribute lives or dies, it will be highlighted for the audience to see, regardless whether they want it or not.
Events usually happen twice per day, with the Night events appearing first before the Day events. There are some exceptions to the simulation structure, with Bloodbath events replacing Night events during the Bloodbath segments and the Feast events are placed between Night and Day events, resulting with three different events per day.
Types of Events[]
Category[]
- Bloodbath - The first group of events that will appear when a simulated season is commenced. Default events would describe the tributes competing for valuable weapons, food, water and packs full of other valuable supplies that could be useful during the games. Alternatively, tributes may attempt to simply flee or hide for safety.[1]
- Day/Night - Random events that showcase on what the tributes are usually doing. Both Day and Night events are nearly indistinguishable, with the exception of some events that are mutually exclusive from each other.
- Feast - After a few days have passed, the "Feast" (or any named equivalent) is commenced. In it, the Cornucopia is replenished with food, supplies, weapons, and memoirs from the tributes' families, which the tributes may scramble to get, die trying, or simply ignore it altogether.[1] Currently available in the Brantsteele Simulator.
- Arena - Special events that feature a game-changing event that is mainly the matter of life and death for all tributes. Survival rate for tributes when an Arena event happens is usually high, but is also influenced by the season's settings.[1] Usually in a season, there is bound to have at least one Arena event happening although it is possible for no Arena events to happen or more than one. Currently available in the Brantsteele Simulator.
- Endgame - Final events that dictate all of the remaining tributes' fates, whether it will produce more than one Victor or none at all. Each of them contains a separate event should the event succeed or fail, along with a percentage of its success rate. Currently available in the Experimental Version of the Brantsteele Simulator.
Chance[]
- Normal
- Events that do not feature tributes dying. This all detail on their actions that they make during the duration of the Bloodbath, Day, Night, and Feast as well as Arena events.
- Some custom events feature tributes attacking and/or killing random non-tribute characters. In actual simulation mechanics, they are not counted for, and as such, they are not part of the recording process of a tribute's kill.
- Fatal
- Events that feature tributes dying. Details of a tribute's death vary and paint a situation of how they die, such as from being speared in the gut or dying from hypothermia. One to six tributes can die in a single fatal event, and a tribute killing another tribute/s can score a point.
- It is likely possible that no tribute can die provided that the events can be more family-friendly, but tributes non-fatally removing another tribute still count as a point.[1]
Additional Features[]
Brantsteele Version[]
Once a day is finished, the next segment will be the "Fallen Tributes" segment, which will display sentences on how many tributes were killed in a day. Should there be at least one or more, it will be displayed in default as "[Number of fallen tributes] cannon shots can be heard in the distance." If no tributes die throughout the day, it will be displayed in default as "0 cannon shots can be heard in the distance". These can all be customized through the Custom Texts feature in the Options.
